Hebrews
The author himself tells us this book is a ‘word of exhortation’ in 13:22. Based on who Jesus is as God’s Son and on His work as God’s Apostle and our Savior and Great High Priest, the author exhorts the Jewish-Christian community to endure in their Faith in the Son of God, Our High Priest. He severely warns those who have turned away from Christ and crucified Him again. He exhorts those teetering between genuine faith in Christ and turning away from Him to not depart from the Living God in unbelief as Israel once did. And he exhorts the genuine believers to grow to maturity and endure in their faith until the end so that they may receive all that God has promised.
